Spirit the van

At the end of July "Big Red" had to go back to the original owners.  We had felt defeated because the van was how our ministry was growing.  It was so hard to have to say goodbye to that van and know that God had a plan.  So after about 3 weeks of looking on the Internet we were able to find a van that was more than what we could even imagine!  It is a 1995 Dodge Ram Van with only 85,000 mile on it!  It has rubber floors which is great when you have nothing but kids in it.  It was a price that was right!  Now the kids get so excited when they see "Spirit"!  Our kids and Aimee's mom named it.

It is such a blessing to have!  When missions teams come in we can just transport everyone in the van.  We use it several times a week transporting the community kids to our house and to other events!  Thank you Jesus for your provision!

Young Warriors 4 Christ

Dwayne and Pastor Herb, a pastor who is from this area, started an all boys study on Wednesday nights.  They have it in the elementary school in the neighborhood.  They have bible study, dinner and games.  Dwayne has been blessed by the study.  He was able to tell the boys his testimony one night about being a fatherless child.  Out of the 25 boys that were there 19 of them had no father.  They were either locked up or they had never met them.  They wanted the study to be all boys for the fact that most of the boys that are in the inner city have no positive male influence.  They are around women all day, moms, aunties, and teachers.
